Dress Code

BALLET AND POINTE CLASSES

Any color leotard (preferably solid or 2-tone) may be worn. Short ballet skirts of a conservative style and pattern may also be worn. However, no tutus, shorts, pants, biketards, or tee shirts are allowed. Warmers may be worn if they are close fitting and are solid in color, preferable pink or black.

SKIRT INFORMATION: The length of the skirt that a child or teenager is worn no longer than mid-thigh. Covering the legs is counter productive in achieving the best possible training and corrections.

SHOES AND TIGHTS: Pink ballet slippers (preferably Bloch or Sansha brand), pink pointe shoes - as required. Pink tights for the legs. Note: Please do not buy your childs ballet slippers at a regular shoe store. They are very inexpensive, but the shoe is not made of leather and it does not bend at the arch. Therefore your child will look like he/she is wearing the shoebox instead of the shoe. Please invest in a proper pair of ballet slippers so your child may point their foot properly without a flat cardboard sole inhibiting the arch of the foot as well as inhibiting their full releve. If taken care of, proper leather ballet slippers last all year unless your child has an unusually big growth spurt.
