The Dance Center is committed to excellence. Whether you are pursuing a professional dance career or wish to study dance at the university level, the entire faculty at The Dance Center provides consistent, individual attention to each student, encouraging achievement and progress toward their goals. We offer each and every dancer careful guidance starting in our Children's Division and Elementary Division training young dancers with caring, age-appropriate lessons through a comprehensive, classical curriculum. Our Pre-Professional Division is a rigorous, performance-based program backed by daily technique classes in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance.
Continuing Education and Professional Career Guidance
Our students have earned acceptance and scholarships to prestigious Summer Programs such as the New York City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Colorado Ballet , American Ballet Theatre, and Brandywine Ballet, to name a few, as well as some of the top colleges and universities for dance education, including New York University, The Julliard School, West Chester University, and Indiana University. The Brandywine Ballet is proud to be a Performing Partner with West Chester University where many students have gone on to earn a Certificate in Dance through the partnership program.
Over the past 50 years, The Dance Center/Brandywine Ballet has trained over 200 students who have gone on to dance careers in professional companies such as Pennsylvania Ballet (Philadelphia Ballet), BalletX, Joffrey Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Richmond Ballet, and Miami City Ballet as well as students who have had professional careers in dance and choreography on Broadway.
The Dance Center/Brandywine Ballet encourages students that wish to dance professionally to earn a college degree while training with Brandywine Ballet and performing through their West Chester University Certificate in Dance program. After graduation, guidance is given to those students wishing to audition for professional ballet and contemporary companies throughout the United States.
